Students from the BS (Civil Engineering) program, spanning from 2nd to 6th semesters, visited the Highway Research and Training Centre (HRTC), Burhan, on June 12, 2025. The delegation was warmly received by Engineer Abdul Rauf, who welcomed the faculty and students upon their arrival at the site.
The visit offered students valuable practical exposure to advanced highway material testing and evaluation techniques. They observed cutting-edge equipment used for pavement analysis, as well as modern testing procedures for bitumen and aggregates. This hands-on experience significantly enhanced their understanding of highway construction materials, pavement structural behavior, and performance assessment, effectively bridging the gap between theoretical classroom instruction and real-world field applications in modern highway engineering.
Dr. Danish Farooq, Assistant Professor, expressed gratitude to the HRTC Chief and the administration for their generous support and facilitation. The session concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by a group photo to commemorate the visit.
