The Departments of Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering at COMSATS University Islamabad, Wah Campus, jointly organized a hands-on workshop titled "Building Mobile Applications with Android Studio" on May 23, 2025, in Computer Lab No. 2. The session was led by Engr. Haris Zulfiqar, Research Engineer at the National University of Technology (NUTECH), Islamabad.
The workshop introduced students to the fundamentals of Android app development using Android Studio, covering key concepts such as UI design with XML, backend logic in Java/Kotlin, activity lifecycle, event handling, and real-time debugging. Participants gained practical experience by developing functional mobile apps during the session.
Over 50 students, both male and female, actively participated in this interactive training. The session also offered valuable insights into career prospects in mobile development.
The event concluded with Prof. Dr. Nadia Nawaz, Chairperson, Department of Computer Engineering, presenting a souvenir to the guest speaker in appreciation of his contribution.
