Islamabad, November 28, 2023: A delegation from Edith Cowan University (ECU), Australia, comprising Dr. Muhammad Rizwan Azhar, Discipline Coordinator and Lecturer in the School of Engineering, also serving as the Focal Person and International Coordinator for Pakistan, along with Mr. Adam Bryers, International Account Manager (Middle East & North Africa (MENA), Central Asia, Pakistan, Europe, Nepal) and Mr. Waasay Ahman Khan, new In-Country Representative (Pakistan, MENA), met with officials of COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) on November 28, 2023, to discuss possibility of collaboration on a joint Ph.D. program between CUI and ECU.

The officials from CUI who participated in the meeting were Prof. Dr. Shahzad A. Malik, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Laiq Khan, Chairperson, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering/ Focal Person, Dr. Hammad Omer (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz) Head, International Office, Mr. Ali Tawab Baloch, Senior Manager, International Office, Dr. Bakhtiar Ali, Associate Professor, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, CUI Islamabad Campus, along with a team from the International Office.

The meeting aimed to foster collaboration possibilities between CUI and ECU for a joint Ph.D. program. Discussions covered preparation of documentation, achievements, challenges, and an action plan, emphasizing documents sharing, academic endorsement, and engagement with regulatory bodies.
