The Delegation from Embassy of Türkiye and Embassy of Federal Republic of Germany Inaugurated Thesis Show of Students of the Department of Art & Design, COMSATS University Islamabad

A delegation from Embassy of Türkiye and Embassy of Federal Republic of Germany visited COMSATS University Islamabad on June 20, 2023 to inaugurate Thesis Show of students of the Department of Art & Design. In addition, the officials of Embassy of Turkiye discussed possibilities of further strengthening the academic linkages of CUI with Turkish Universities.

Mr. Ali Tawab Baloch, Head International Office, Dr. Farhat Nisar, HoD Department of Humanities, Dr. Samina Azmat from Department of Humanities welcomed the delegation from Embassy of Türkiye which was headed by Dr. Mehment TOYRAN, Counsellor of Education, Embassy of Türkiye, Islamabad.

Mr. Ali Tawab, Head IO welcomed the guests and shared the details and achievements of CUI. In his opening remarks, he also extended the full support of International Office for initiation and exploring more activities for the students and faculty with Embassy of Türkiye in Pakistan.

Dr. Farhat Nisar, HoD Department of Humanities welcomed the delegate and mentioned that Department of Humanities is enthusiastic to conduct the joint activities as this platform will provide an excellent opportunity for their students and faculty.

Dr. Mehment TOYRAN, Counsellor of Education, Embassy of Türkiye thanked for the warm welcome. He proposed to establish a Turkish Corner at Junaid Zaidi Library and proposed to offer Turkish language teaching in CUI.

The Chief guest Dr. Mehment TOYRAN, Counsellor of Education, Embassy of Türkiye and Ms Dorota Magdalena Berezicki, First Secretary, Head of Communication and Cultural Section, Embassy of Federal Republic of Germany inaugurated Thesis Show of the students of Department of Art & Design. The Rector CUI Prof. Dr.Sajid Qamar was also present in the event. The students displayed and explained work done in their final year project. Dr. Mehment and Ms Dorota appreciated all the students for their hard work and thoughtfulness behind their projects. They were really impressed to see the creative projects and models and multiple projects related with subjects were displayed.

The visit was concluded with the exchange of appreciation with commitment to make all efforts for better future. The visit was ended with group photo.
