As per directives of Worthy Rector, COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT), the Student Startup Business Center (SSBC) has now been launched at CIIT, Abbotabad campus.

A team from Principal Seat compromising of Ms. Zainab Bilal, (Coordinator SSBC) and Ms. Talat Mehmood, (co-Coordinator SSBC), visited CIIT, Abbotabad Campus on 14th June, 2017. They met with Prof. Dr. Arshad Pervaiz, the Campus Director as well as Heads of various Departments. Ms. Zainab Bilal briefed the participants of the meeting about the objectives and functions of SSBC. She also highlighted the importance of an entrepreneurial culture in the university asserting the need to promote knowledge based startups. The Director Campus supported the launch of this initiative and directed faculty members to engage and support SSBC activities at CIIT, Abbotabad.

Ms. Zainab Bilal later gave presentation to the students in the campus auditorium. She touched upon the process and road map of SSBC, in order to raise awareness about CIIT entrepreneurship initiative and motivated the students to actively enroll in the SSBC program. The presentation was followed by an interactive questions answers session.

Dr. Yasir Javed has been appointed as In-charge SSBC- Abbotabad to oversee all activities through this platform at CIIT Abbotabad Campus.
