1. Participation in Progress Review Meeting & Training for Quality Enhancement Cells
Progress Review Meeting & Training for Quality Enhancement Cells" organized by the Quality Assurance Agency, HEC. This meeting was held on 3rd & 4th March 2021 at the Margala, Hotel Islamabad.
The meeting was attended by the Additional Registrar / Incharge QEC and Senior Program Officer QEC.
The meeting and the workshop session were divided into two days. On Day first (Progress Review Meeting & Brief on Target Policy of Progress Report 2019-20 & 2020-21) was discussed in detail. Training on IPE conducted, Compliance Policy and New PhD Policy was discussed on Day second.
In the recognition of the efforts made by QECs in achieving the annual targets successfully QAA awarded shields to the excellent performing QECs, the QEC team of COMSATS University was one of the top QECs in the public sector universities of KPK, AJK, upper Punjab, Rawalpindi & Islamabad region.
The QEC CUI team got the appreciation shield on excellent performance in Yearly Progress Report (YPR) 2018-19. The team also received the certificates of participation for the training form MD QAA, Dr. Nadia Tahir.
During the meeting QECs were advised to complete the assigned tasks as per HEC’s given parameters/evaluation criteria.
2. Accreditation/Inspection Visit of COMSATS University, Islamabad
The Incharge QEC participated in HEC Audit, Accreditation / Inspection Visit of COMSATS University, Islamabad on February 16, 2021.

Management of CUI provided brief presentation to the Accreditation Committee on University infrastructure, facilities, and administrative departments. Committee also visited Academic Departments and Library of CUI Islamabad Campus.
3. International Webinar on World Quality Day
The QEC officials participated in an International Webinar on World Quality Day "From Conventional to e-Learning: The Next level of Faculty Readiness" arranged by Virtual University Islamabad on November 26, 2020.
4. Orientation Session for focal persons of HEIs for HES Data
Higher Education Statistics Unit arranged an online orientation session for focal persons (all HEIs) through MS Teams for consecutive three days from September 30th, 2020 to October 2nd, 2020. The sessions were attended by QEC team. The QEC team participated in the all the sessions with very important feedback and suggestions for the group. The informative sessions were conducted by different recourse persons they explained how to fill HES proforma and how to collect and compile the final HES data.
5. Participation in Survey of Leadership Style and QA Mechanisms at HEIs
QEC team participated in a survey Leadership style and QA Mechanisms at HEIs conducted by SZABIST University and provided the feedback on QA mechanism at COMSATS University Islamabad.
6. Participation in International survey conducted by Erasmus +
Participation in International survey conducted by Erasmus + Key Action 2 CBHE, requested by CUI International Office. The European partner university which is in process of assessing current level of Internationalization at CUI. QEC officer participated in the survey and provided feedback on September 25, 2020.
7. Interactive session of MD (QAA) with Heads of QECs
QEC Team attended the Interactive session of MD (QAA) with Heads of QECs on 24th September 2020 through MS Teams. The Managing Director (QAA) arranged an online session so that QAA and QECs should work in close liaison to achieve the mutual goal of quality enhancement.
8. Webinars on Subject Ranking by Times Higher Education (THE) UK
The QEC team participated in 02 webinars on Subject Rankings arranged by Times Higher Education (THE), UK in October 2020.
