1. Training session on “Important Guidelines for writing the Self-Assessment Report (SAR)”
QEC team has successfully conducted a training session on “Important Guidelines for writing the Self-Assessment Report (SAR)” for all the nominated program Team members (Faculty Members) by their respective departmental heads held on Tuesday 9th February 2021 at Seminar Hall, of Academic Block – I, CUI.
2. Feedback for HEC “Creative Commons Research Survey”
QEC officer participated and provided feedback in a survey on December 28, 2020, sent by HEC, “CREATIVE COMMONS RESEARCH SURVEY” in order to analyze the awareness & utility about Creative Commons in Higher Education Universities/DAIs in Pakistan. This survey was only for Higher Education Professionals in Pakistan.
3. Survey for Readiness of Reopening of University / DAI / HEI
QEC submitted a survey for readiness for reopening of University / DAI / HEIs to HEC which was designed to get insight of the preparedness of DAIs to reopen on campus activities, which was submitted to HEC on Sep 17, 2020.
4. Feedback for Pakistan National Quality Policy (PNQP)
The Ministry of Science & Technology (MoST) invited a review of Pakistan National Quality Policy (PNQP) to CUI. QEC reviewed the document and provided valuable recommendation and feedback. The QEC CUI appreciated the extra ordinary efforts of the Ministry of Science and Technology for the revised Pakistan National Quality Policy 2019, keeping in view of current global trends. The MoST depicted the futuristic vision for improved Quality Standards in Pakistan for trade and economic growth in next five years through Pakistan National Quality Policy. QEC CUI thoroughly reviewed the document and gave some valuable recommendations on the following points/items Government Sector Initiatives, Private sector initiatives & Education and training. The ministry incorporated all the recommendations submitted by QEC in the updated National Quality Policy.
5. Membership of Associations/Networks
QEC initiated the process of acquiring memberships of CHEA International Quality Group (CIQG), Asia-Pacific Quality Network (APQN) & International Network for Quality Assurance Agency in Higher Education (INQAAHE) forums respectively. CUI has already obtained CHEA International Quality Group (CIQG) membership and APQN membership. The review committee of INQAAHE has already approved associate membership for CUI.
6. Submission of Higher Education Statistics (HES) Data 2019-20 to HEC
In August-September 2020, QEC successfully collected and consolidated the Higher Education Statistical Data of all campuses and submitted to Statistical Unit of Higher Education Commission. This information is required by HEC for the National University Ranking and making budget allocations for the Universities.
7. Submission of Nationwide Rollout of Higher Education Data Repository (HEDR) 2nd Cycle of Uploading Information to HEC
CUI successfully completed the activity of HEDR Online Readiness, 2nd Cycle of Uploading Information. HEC’s HEDR Initiative is for devising an effective and transplant methodology for evaluating universities on online readiness, especially in delivery of online teaching/courses. After gathering and compiling all the relevant and required information from respective departments, QEC submitted the data was submitted / uploaded on HEDR Portal well before the submission deadline after approval from the worthy Rector.
