Students of the Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering program at COMSATS University Islamabad, Wah Campus, visited Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF) on November 6, 2025, to gain practical exposure to defence manufacturing.

Led by Engr. Arsalan Hussain, Lecturer, the delegation was warmly welcomed by POF officials and began with an orientation session covering the organization’s operations, technological capabilities, and strategic role. An interactive Q&A allowed students to engage directly with professionals and deepen their understanding of industrial practices.

A commemorative shield was presented to Engr. Hussain on behalf of the POF management, symbolizes the ongoing collaboration between POF and COMSATS University Islamabad. Students also toured advanced manufacturing and assembly units, observing precision engineering and large-scale production processes.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering expressed gratitude to POF for their hospitality and reaffirmed its commitment to fostering industry–academia partnerships that enhance practical learning and professional growth for future engineers.
