A seminar on “Road Safety” was conducted on December 4, 2019 by the Directorate of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POFs), Wah Cantt in collaboration with  National Highway and Motorway Police (NH&MP) to create awareness amongst students/employees on traffic rules and regulations for the safety of human life and infrastructure. The guest speakers from NH&MP and HSE speaking on the occasion briefed the audience that NH&MP is a corruption free institution and providing friendly services to road users. Guest speakers also emphasized that commuters must follow the traffic rules and tries to adapt safety measures i.e follow the instructions on sign boards, use of safety belts while driving , avoid using mobile phones while driving and over speeding to minimize the chance of road accidents. These practices will also eradicate the chances of corruption in the form of expecting favor from Motorway Police.  Guest speaker further said that it is the responsibility of citizens to follow traffic rules and negate to perform unlawful activities by violating rules. The Director CUI Wah Campus, Prof. Dr. Sajjad A. Madani thanked that authorities of HSE-POFs, and NH&MP for arranging such a fruitful session for our students and employees. He also distributed souvenirs to guest speakers.
