Mission Statement

Bachelor of Science in Mathematics (BS in Mathematics) is offered by all the well-known public and private sector Universities of Pakistan. It is equivalent to Master in Mathematics (MSc) offered by our department. The objective of this program is to make all the students capable to conduct research or possess appropriate, cogent and tangible knowledge in Mathematics, to prepare graduates with enhanced skills, knowledge and attributes that will be needed for a successful career and professional accomplishments after graduation. This will able the graduate to use mathematical tools and language to understand the physical world around us. BS Mathematics is four years/8 semesters/133 credit hours degree. Students will be required to carry out course work comprising of subjects from mathematics, computer science, social sciences, humanities, environmental sciences, and physics.

Program Objectives

  • To understand and apply general and specific concepts and uses. So that they can demonstrate mastery of fundamental mathematical concepts that encompass calculus, statistics, algebra, and analysis etc.
  • Reason logically, think critically and connect mathematical ideas, in particular by being able to construct proofs and reason abstractly. So that they can read and write in the discipline and communicate mathematical ideas.
  • To produce professionals with strong mathematical back ground.
  • Prepare the graduate to use mathematical tools and language to understand the physical world around us
  • Expose students to the global Mathematical Research environment both in pure and applied Mathematics.
