Executive Summary:
COMSATS Project and Career Expo is a regular biannual event of the COMSATS University, Islamabad. Due to Corona, last four CPCE were organized online. After a break of two years, physical CPCE organized for FALL 2021 graduating students.
This event contains two parts for department of Computer Science.

- Career Expo/Interviews/Job Placements

Introduction:
COMSATS Project and Career Expo is a regular biannual event of the COMSATS University, Islamabad. Due to Corona, last four CPCE were organized online. After a break of two years, physical CPCE organized for FALL 2021 graduating students.
As per report of P@sha report related to IT industry, we are no 1 in job placement in Islamabad and we have proved it yet again. The influx of companies was great. Overall feedback from companies were excellent. Our statistics of the event also depicting this reality.
Mainly, our department event contains two parts.
Project Exhibition:
There were 48 projects that were very carefully selected based on their performance in last two semesters, their marketable presentation and industrial need of technologies. These projects were placed in the categories of
- Web Application
- Mobile Application
- Hybrid Application
- AI/ML and Data Science Projects
- AR/VR/Game
To judge these five categories, five senior judges were invited from top tier software organizations of Pakistan.

On the basis of their judgements, list of projects who were the winner is given in annex-I.
Career Expo/Interviews/Job Placements:
There were lots and lots of companies that were interested in joining this career expo but only limited set of companies were registered in time. Total 91 companies joined career expo. List is given at the end as annex-II. Out of these 91 companies, 62 companies conducted interviews. Total conducted interviews were 318 and in those interviews 159 shortlisting or selection have been done. These statistics are based on feedbacks taken from the industry at the end of their interviews.

Event starting time: 10:00 AM
Formal Opening: 10:30 AM
Closing of Project Exhibition: 4:00PM
Closing Ceremony :4:10 PM
Interview Closing: 6:00 PM
Feedback System:
There were three types of feedback from industry
- Joint Research and Development Project Ideas
- Over all Expo feedback
- Interviews Feedback
Overall feedback is much better with feedback review at the end. Major issue is the availability of space for interviews. Although we have provided four different areas for interviews but it was still less to accommodate so many interview companies. It is suggested to allocate more space for interviews or convert this event in open area with specific interview areas for the companies.
Event Glimpse:
1. Opening Ceremony
Opening Ceremony of CPCE Fall 2021 was organized at Department of computer Science. It was inaugurated by Dr. Shahid A. Khan and Prof. Dr. Sohail Asghar, accompanied by Heads of different department at 10:30. They visited the projects displayed and have high tea.
2. Project Exhibition & Industrial visits
After the inauguration, project exhibition was opened for industry, academia and students. Some of the glimpses are as here.
3. Interview Management
Four different areas were dedicated for interview. Companies conducted interviews there.
4. Academic Industrial Linkage
Meetings were arranged to discuss joint projects between industry and academia.
5. Presenting Shields to Companies and Judges
Shields were presented to our judges by HOD and companies by ILC team.
6. Closing Ceremony
In the Closing Ceremony, HOD presented the shield to Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Sohail Asghar. Ushers were given certificates of appreciation and Winners of student projects were awarded prizes.
