The COMSATS University Islamabad Campus, International Office arranged a meeting between the delegation of School of Civil Engineering, Southeast University (SEU) Nanjing, China and Civil Engineering Departments, CUI Campuses, on September 06, 2023 to strengthen the cooperation and building a capacity in the field of Joint Research Lab on Smart Disaster Prevention on Major Infrastructure as part of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.

The Head of Department, Civil Engineering, Dr. Tahir Mehmood from CUI Wah Campus along with the team of International Office, Dean Faculty of Engineering, In-charge CUI Islamabad Campus attended the meeting with the delegation comprised of Professor Chen Zhongfan, Professor Huang Xing-Huai, Dr. Yeshou Xu from School of Civil Engineering, Southeast University (SEU) Nanjing, China and discussed the key arrears by harnessing cutting-edge technologies and innovative approaches for disaster prevention and its significance in infrastructure projects.

In his remarks, Dr. Tahir appreciated the collaboration between Southeast University and COMSATS University Islamabad for holding a great promise for fostering knowledge exchange, research collaboration, and skill development in the field of Disaster Prevention for the benefit of both China and Pakistan.
