The Institute of Civil Engineers (ICE) UK, Student Chapter at Department of Civil Engineering Department, CUI Wah Campus organized awareness walk “Clean and Green Pakistan” on December 5, 2019. The theme of the walk was to raise awareness to keep the University Campus and surroundings Clean and Green. The Director Campus, Dr. Sajjad A. Madani in his address, highlighted the significance of clean working environment on health and work productivity. He further emphasized to keep track the vision of Government “Clean and Green Pakistan” campaign. He advised the students to adopt the practices of collecting and throwing trash in trash cans placed in Campus surrounding. The Campus In-charge of Clean and Green Drive, Prof. Dr. Munir Akhtar, Head, Civil Engineering Department, Prof. Dr. Saeed Ahmad and faculty/staff members participated in the walk. During a walk, the participants chanted slogans in favor of clean and green Pakistan campaign. The walk started from the main gate and ended on the Allama Iqbal Block.  At the end, Prof. Dr. Munir Akhtar , appreciated the vision of ICE Team and remarked that such kind of activities will help in creating awareness between masses and will develop positive change in our thinking for making our environment clean and pollution free.
