The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan is pleased to announce the launch of the “Internships Program in Japan for AI and Tech Talent,” aimed at students from Global South countries.

This program offers valuable opportunities for students in IT and AI-related fields to gain hands-on experience with various technologies and skills at Japanese companies, as well as to explore potential career paths in Japan.

As of June 3, we have received over 5,000 applications from candidates around the world.
This remarkable response is entirely thanks to your kind support, and we extend our sincere gratitude to all those involved.

Additionally, the program seeks to connect Japanese companies with talented overseas IT and AI professionals, establishing a framework for integrating high-level foreign talent, even if they lack proficiency in the Japanese language.

Program Overview:
1. Program Title: Internships in Japan for AI and Tech Talent

3. Eligibility:
> Must be expected to graduate from, or have graduated from, a university, junior college, technical college, or higher education institution.
> If you have already graduated, your graduation must have occurred within the past three years.

                        For IT Contest:  June 26
Contest Dates:
                        AI Contest: June 21 June 22
                        IT Contest: June 28 June 29
Internship Period:       October 31 to December 15
