The Department of Computer Science organized a Seminar on “Information Security and Audit” by speaker, Mr. Adnan Ahmed is a Unit Head - IT Audit at Askari Bank Limited, Islamabad on February 28, 2019. The speaker covered the information systems, its parts and explains the common attacks including DOS/DDOS, Hacking/Cracking/Script kiddies, Phishing, SQL Injection, Brute-Force Attack, Email Bombing, Man-in-Middle Attack, Social Engineering, etc. He further explained about information auditing, its life cycle, risk assessment, planning, data gathering, analysis, testing, reporting, exit meeting and follow ups. The seminar benefited the large number of students of the department.
