French Seminar at COMSATS University Islamabad

The International Office of COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) in collaboration with Campus France, French Embassy Islamabad, organized a hybrid informative seminar on “Study in France’ on October 03, 2024, for all the students of CUI. Campus France represents the French Higher Education in Pakistan. Ms. Mathilde, National Coordinator and Mr. Rao Naufil, Officer at Campus France, were the resource persons for the session.

Ms. Mathilde gave an in-depth educative presentation on the French Higher Education System highlighting the BS and MS programs offered at French universities and their duration. She also informed that the medium of instruction in the top universities of France is English. The admission applications are open now and the last date to apply is December 31, 2024.  Mr. Rao provided details about the application and visa processes, the two major scholarships available for international students, the fee structure and cost of living for students in France. He urged CUI students to take advantage of the opportunities as these offer a conducive learning environment as well as a worthwhile study experience for the international students.

The seminar was conducted in hybrid mode, attended by 60+ students in person while 30+ students joined the session online from other campuses of CUI. This approach allowed a wide range of students to benefit from the discussion and ask questions about the application process, scholarship details, and how to prepare for studies in France.

Dr. Hammad Omer (T.I), Head International Office thanked the officials of Campus France for a beneficial and informative interaction with CUI students and presented souvenirs to them. Both sides were keen to have more useful academic and collaborative engagements in near future.

The event is expected to have a significant impact on the students' future academic plans, encouraging them to explore France as a destination for higher education.
