The Department of Biosciences successfully organized a vibrant Food Festival today at COMSATS University Islamabad, Sahiwal Campus. The event showcased students’ creativity, culinary skills, and innovative food ideas, attracting faculty, guests, and visitors from across the community.

Students actively participated in cooking competitions, live demonstrations, and food display stalls featuring both traditional and modern recipes. The festival highlighted the importance of food safety, healthy eating, and practical learning in food processing and preservation.

Honorable Deputy Commissioner Sahiwal, Mr. Shahid Mehmood, graced the event as Chief Guest. Guests from the Punjab Food Authority and other institutes also attended and appreciated the efforts of the students and faculty.

At the beginning of the event, Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim, Head Department of Biosciences, and Dr. Abrar Hussain, Principal Organizer, warmly welcomed all distinguished guests and participants, acknowledging their support and presence.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Commissioner Mr. Shahid Mehmood praised the students’ hard work, creativity, and professionalism. He noted that such festivals play a vital role in raising awareness about food safety, encouraging innovation, and providing students with a valuable platform to showcase their talent. He congratulated the organizers for managing an engaging and educational event.

Addressing the audience, Prof. Dr. Najeeb-ur-Rehman, Director COMSATS Sahiwal Campus, expressed his appreciation for the organizers and students. He thanked all the distinguished guests for their participation and support and emphasized that such interactive activities significantly enhance students’ confidence, skills, and professional development.
