The hallmark of an educational institute is the provision of quality education. In pursuit of this, every facet of the institute should be in harmony and must exude quality in every possible manner and this is what CUI stands for.
CUI is one of the leading higher education institutes of the country. It is offering variety of programs in the field of Information Sciences and Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, Science, Architecture and Design. The knowledge of these is imparted through highly qualified and competent faculty.
CUI’s mission meshes in a classy manner with its strategic aim of developing knowledge based economy aimed at benefitting the socio-economic empowerment and in order to fulfill the purpose, the institute has taken stringent measures to focus on quality research, which has resulted in publication of 2,029 research papers in a calendar year, which is the highest number of research publications by any University/HEI of the country in year 2017
Emphasis is given to improve skills of learning and wholesome personality development. In this regard, CUI has state of the art laboratories, lecture halls, and library. Sports facilities are also available to the students so that they can indulge themselves in healthy activities in their leisure time. As a result of this, the students of CUI have outshined in academics, sports, and curricular activities.
In the newly announced international rankings, CUI has yet again nailed its position as one of the leading Institutions for higher education. In TIMES Higher Education (THE) world universities rankings, CUI has been placed among 601-800 world best universities, and ranked 2nd in Pakistan. Further, CUI is ranked at #301-400 in THE Engineering & Technology, #401-500 in Life Science and Physical Sciences subject rankings 2018. This is for the very first time that CUI has been ranked in THE subject rankings which is a noteworthy achievement for CUI. CUI has improved its position to 125th from 141-150 in THE Asian University Rankings 2018. Besides, CUI has also been ranked 190th in QS Asian Universities Rankings 2018. On national level, CUI is at No. 3 in General Category of universities, and No. 6 in Overall Pakistani Universities besides being at No. 1 among top 10 Pakistani universities according to Nature Index in 2016.
