RESEARCH PRODUCTIVITY AWARDS
Since its foundation, one of the chief aims of CUI has been to promote quality research. This has been done by engaging its faculty, students and researchers to challenge existing ideas and by providing a research friendly environment.
This institution has always provided incentives to its faculty and researchers in various fields, to motivate and inspire them to excel. It is with this aim that every year the Institute disburses Research Productivity Awards (RPA) and confers upon its scientists and researchers monetary awards in order to acknowledge their efforts and to motivate its entire research faculty competing for these awards.
CUI RPA for its Faculty/ Staff & Students are for research papers published in a calendar year (in Impact factor and ISI indexed journals), the researchers will be awarded a certificate & cash prize as per the following remunerations:
- Impact factor publications: Rs. 12,000/-
- ISI indexed publication without impact factor: Rs. 5,000/-
(Note: A publication must have the following details for consideration of CUI RPA)
- A full length journal publication
- Publication must have ‘COMSATS University Islamabad’ address in the address line (and not as current or present address), just CUI will not suffice.
- Publication must have been assigned the year of publication, volume number (if any) and page numbers.
Impact factor of a journal will be obtained by ORIC from the ‘web of knowledge’ and information regarding HEC recognized, ISI Indexed journals will be taken from HEC web site as per the following web addresses:
(The award money for any publication with more than one author will be divided and shared equally by all CUI authors of the publication)
It is to be noted that the following publications will not be considered for CUI RPA:
- Conference papers
- Book or book chapters
- Publication without COMSATS University Islamabad address
- Publications with DOI number only
- Meeting abstracts
