A session on Real Life
HR Practices by Mr. Muhammad Bin Khalid, Consultant Scheduling PIA
A session on the topic “Real Life HR Practices” was
organized on Friday, November 15, 2019. A shining star alumnus, Mr. Muhamad Bin
Khalid, who graduated in Fall 2008 with MBA (Human Resource Management) &
CGPA 4 out of 4 and he was also awarded chancellor’s Gold medal and campus Gold
Medal was the guest speaker of the session. Mr. Muhammad Bin Khalid has a vast
portfolio of working with national and international esteemed organizations. He
has worked with CUI principal seat in academics department in 2010 and after
that he joined Pakistan International Airline PIA in late 2010. In PIA he has
worked under different portfolios. He also has worked for Fly-Nas airline and
currently he is working as Consultant Scheduling in PIA headquarter
Karachi. The main purpose of the session was to cope up the young scholars
of the department with the real-life HR practices.
Mr. Muhammad enthusiastically elaborated the
concepts of real-life HR practices and his success story with students of the
department. He discussed each and every function of HRM in a very comprehensive
way and he also elaborated the real-life difference of theory versus practices
of HRM in organization. He also highlighted some contemporary issues and
practices prevailing in different organizations. Students of the department
were so overwhelmed by the knowledge he has shared with them. At the end of the
session HoD MS, Dr. Saddam Hussain presented shield to Mr. Muhammad Bin Khalid
and thanked him on behalf of the department of management sciences for the
fruitful thoughts he has shared with the students of the department. Students
of the department appreciated the guest speaker a lot on his thought-provoking
ideas.
