Mission Statement

The MPA program is designed as to develop professional, managerial, communication, and human relations skills and knowledge in preparation for or advancement in a variety of public sector and related careers.

Program Objectives:

• Provide education and skill acquisition for public service professionals with particular emphasis on the needs of government and not-for-profit organizations.
• Maintain and improve the capacity of local and regional governments to provide excellence in public service.
• Provide certain specialized skills, knowledge and competency in the areas of concentration.
• Serve the regional community through faculty and student involvement in public affairs.
