The Eiffel Excellence Scholarship 2026 offers a prestigious opportunity for outstanding international students to pursue fully funded Master’s and PhD programs in France. Managed by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, this scholarship enables future global leaders to study at top French institutions in high-priority academic fields.

Host Institution(s): French Universities and Academic Institutions
Subjects: Master’s degree program, engineering program, or a joint doctoral program (joint supervision of dissertation and/or dual degree), in partnership with a partner institution abroad. Two major disciplinary fields concerned by the Eiffel scholarships cover the following 7 fields of study for the Master and Doctorate components:
· For science and technology: Biology and health; Ecological transition; Mathematics and digital; Engineering Sciences
· For the humanities and social sciences: History, French language and civilization; Law and political science; and Economics and management
Grants: For Master’s Students:
· Monthly stipend of €1,181
· International return airfare
· Health insurance coverage
· Cultural activities and networking support
· Up to 24 months of funding, depending on program duration
For PhD Students:
· Monthly stipend of €1,700
· Up to 12 months of funding
· Additional travel, insurance, and support benefits
Eligibility: To qualify for the Eiffel Excellence Scholarship 2026, applicants must meet the following conditions:
· Nationality: Open to non-French nationals only
· Age limit:
· Under 27 years for Master’s applicants (born after March 1999)
· Under 32 years for PhD applicants (born after March 1994)
· Level of study: Must be applying for a Master’s or PhD program at a French higher education institution
· Application channel: Applications must be submitted by a French institution on behalf of the student
· Field of study: Preferred areas include science, engineering, economics, management, law, and political science

Application Deadlines (2026)
1. Call for applications opens: October 2025
2. Application deadline for institutions: January 8, 2026 (tentative)
3. Results announced: Mid-April 2026
Only applications submitted by French higher education institutions to Campus France are considered.
How to Apply for Eiffel Excellence Scholarship 2026:
1. Choose a French university offering your desired Master’s or PhD program.
2. Apply for admission and express your interest in the Eiffel Scholarship.
3. If the institution agrees to support you, they will submit the Eiffel application on your behalf.
4. Await the final results, which are published by Campus France around April 2026.
It’s recommended to start the process early, ideally in September or October 2025, as internal deadlines at universities may be earlier than the official January deadline.
