CUI Students Share Life-Changing Experiences at International Office Organized Event
On February 26, 2025, the International Office organized a session on "Student Mobility Abroad Experience Sharing." The event featured presentations by four CUI students, Ms. Malaika Junaid, Ms. Haiqua Meerub, Ms. Umyma Shahzad, and Mr. Jamshaid Aslam, who had recently completed a semester abroad in the UAE and Turkiye. They shared their diverse and enriching experiences of studying abroad, highlighting the academic, cultural, and personal benefits of international exchange.
The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by opening remarks by Mr. Arif Awan, Senior Program Officer, who highlighted the gains and transformation that comes from going abroad on exchanges, and the International Office's commitment to facilitating and providing more such opportunities for CUI students.
The students' presentations were inspiring and informative. They spoke about the challenges and rewards of living in a new country, the importance of cultural immersion, and the personal growth that comes from stepping outside of one's comfort zone. They also offered practical advice to students who are considering studying abroad, such as how to prepare for the experience, how to make the most of their time abroad, and how to stay safe and healthy.
In addition to the student presentations, the event also featured a presentation by Dr. Agata, an Associate Professor at the Management Science Department of Warsaw University of Technology, Poland. Dr. Agata, who is currently visiting CUI under the Erasmus+ staff mobility program, shared her insights on the education system in Poland and the importance of organizational wisdom.
The event was a resounding success as it provided both knowlege and inspiration. It gave the students a valuable opportunity to learn about the benefits of studying abroad and to hear firsthand accounts from students who have had this experience. The event also helped to raise awareness of the International Office's commitment to providing students with opportunities for international exchange.
