UNESCO Chair on Knowledge Systems for IWRM nominated Lecturer, Summera Fahmi and Lecturer, Sundeerah Choudhary to attend the workshop on “International Water Technology Workshop (IWTW): Water-related Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR)”, organized by NUST Islamabad. The most recent technological innovations and scientific developments associated with water-related DRR were presented and discussed.

The workshop focused was to aligned UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the objectives of the workshop were facilitation of scientific discussion, knowledge exchange and collaboration; discussion on latest scientific research, methodologies, tools, technologies and policy approaches on water-related DRR and collection of practical cases on implementation of these tools and approaches for early flood warning and flood management.
