Biome, a dynamic student-run society based at the Biosciences Department of COMSATS University Islamabad, is on a mission to nurture the potential of today's students, empowering them to become leaders of tomorrow.
Established in 2014 under the name BIOCOM, this society underwent a transformative evolution and emerged as BIOME in 2019, solidifying its commitment to student growth and development.

Biome Student Society envisions a vibrant platform that encourages, motivates, and enables students to unleash their true potential. Through engaging activities and resources, Biome provides an enriching environment for students to learn, grow, and excel both academically and personally. From graphic designing to public speaking, content writing to data management, effective communication to human resource and marketing skills, BIOME polishes and equips students with a diverse skill set.

Mission: Inspiring Talks, Thriving Community
BIOME's mission is to organize impactful TEDx Talks focusing on essential topics such as personality development, positive and negative competition, and mental health. These highly interactive talks feature a diverse lineup of speakers who share their perspectives, insights, and experiences. Following each talk, an engaging discussion ensues, allowing the audience to actively participate and seek clarifications.
Recreational Events: Bridging Connections, Creating Memories
BIOME hosts a variety of recreational events that bridge the gap between students and the wider community. From exhilarating 5km marathons to invigorating hiking trips to Margalla Hills, from spirited sports competitions to delightful bake sales, these events create lasting memories while fostering a sense of camaraderie among students and the general members.
Enlightening Events: Nurturing Minds, Expanding Horizons
BIOME also aims to host events focused on foreign scholarships and student exchange programs like UGRAD and Fullbright Scholarship. Moreover, the society organizes events such as "Biosciences Beyond the White Coat," where esteemed guest speakers shed light on recent research conducted in Pakistan and the future prospects of Biosciences.

For the past eight years, BIOME has curated a multitude of seminars, scientific talks, workshops, and actively contributed to the "Career Expo" every semester. These initiatives provide invaluable guidance and support to students, enabling them to pursue their dreams and aspirations.
