Welcome to the Department of Mathematics,

Department of Mathematics at CUI, Vehari was established in 2018. The Department seeks to combine excellence in education with service to the industry. Our vision is to be recognized as an innovative leading Department. Our goal is to provide students with a balance of intellectual and practical experiences that enable them to serve a variety of societal needs. In our department students are nurtured to become the best Mathematics professionals in their innovative way.  Our graduates are renowned nationwide for their immediate value to employers and their entrepreneurial mindset. Our students’ engagement and success in national and international competitions have resulted in numerous accolades and awards.

I strongly believe that Mathematics education plays an important role in equipping our students with the knowledge and skills to be competent in logical thinking, critical thinking, and analytical thinking. Learning Mathematics is crucial so that our students will achieve a good level of mastery of mathematics that will enable them to function effectively in everyday life. In addition, with a strong foundation in Mathematics, our students will be able to pursue mathematics-related courses in higher institutes of education.

We have hard-working, a young and dynamic faculty, whose expertise spans the range of disciplines in the streams of Mathematics, and a very healthy work culture, which are the basic elements that comprise the Department of Mathematics, the hub of the institute’s academia. We firmly believe in our ability to succeed, and we nurture an attitude of self-reliance, confidence, commitment, and responsibility to the motherland we are to serve.

Department of Mathematics aims to develop a positive learning culture among students and shape the students’ character and moral development through student-centered strategies such as collaborative learning and reflective pedagogy. We inspire our students to be effective problem-solvers and inculcate in them the value of resilience and never give up spirit. As such, our department programs are carefully designed to enable students to develop critical mathematical processes such as reasoning, communicating, and modeling as well as to develop students’ metacognition by promoting self-directed learning and reflection. In addition, our programs are skillfully crafted to cater to the different needs, abilities, and interests of students who can thrive and do their very best to reach their fullest potential.
