In the AI Festival 2025, held on May 31, 2025, at the Silk Road Cultural Centre, Islamabad, Prof. Dr. Sohail Asghar participated in the session titled, ‘AI Governance and Ethics – Developing Pakistan's Framework’. This session was a flagship event aimed at driving national dialogue on responsible AI development. Dr. Sohail Asghar, a leading expert in data and artificial intelligence, shared strategic insights on the urgent need for ethical AI governance tailored to Pakistan’s evolving digital ecosystem. He emphasized the critical role of data governance, quality assurance, and regulatory oversight in building trustworthy AI systems. Dr. Asghar advocated for an inclusive, cross-sector approach involving academia, government, and industry. His remarks reinforced the festival’s vision of building a globally responsible yet locally grounded AI governance model for Pakistan. The students of Business Data Analytics of 5th and 6th semester Department of Management Sciences, along with HoD Dr. Amir Waheed Satti,In-charge of BDA Ms. Sarah Tariq and Ms.Sarwat Kazmi also attended the festival.
