Workshop on Agentic AI & No-Code Automation: Accelerating Research, Empowering Careers
Held: Friday, September 12, 2025 • 2:00–5:00 PM (in-person)
Faculty and students participated in a three-hour, hands-on workshop focused on Agentic AI and no-code automation for academic research. The program introduced core concepts—Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), ReAct reasoning with LangChain, and workflow automation using n8n—and guided attendees to build practical, career-ready artefacts.
AI Automation Workshop
What participants learned
- How Agentic AI can automate literature tasks like summarizing papers and managing references.
- The building blocks of a RAG Q&A chatbot (LangChain + ChromaDB; OpenAI API mock).
- Prompt engineering strategies to improve model outputs.
- ReAct logic to enable tools-aware, step-by-step reasoning in chatbots.
- No-code workflows with n8n to process PDFs and orchestrate research pipelines.
- Portfolio development on GitHub to showcase projects and skills.
AI Automation Workshop
Hands-on outcomes
- A working RAG-based summarization chatbot built in Google Colab.
- A no-code automation that processes a PDF end-to-end.
- A GitHub repository (with README) to present the work and aid job searches.
