The Department of Computer Science arranged an Industrial Visit for final year undergraduate students to the “weRplay”, a game-based software Development Company under the supervision of Lecturer, Dr. Muhammad Bilal and Mian M. Talha on October 03, 2023. The aim of this industrial visit was to examine the real-world software development practices and technologies used in game development projects.

Mr. Ahmed Badar, Senior Quality Assurance Engineer gave a briefing on the company profile, performance, running projects and specialized domains. The students have been given a tour of the operations, processes, and technologies employed by the Company. The students gained exposure to the latest trends used in 2D/3D and VR-based game development. The visit also provided an opportunity for students to share about their game-based Final Year Projects (FYPs).

After the tour, the team of the company conducted a one-to-one discussion session on the development methodologies. The session ended with an open question/answer session that provided deep insights and future directions on game development.

The visit to weRplay was an enriching and informative experience for the students that significantly helped them to enhance their understanding of the game-based software development industry. The visit ended with a vote of thanks.
