17th Episode of VisioSpark – 2019, a National Level Mega IT Competition Event, organized by the Department of Computer Science in collaboration with the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering, CUI Wah Campus held on November 23, 2019.
The Visio Spark in a hole arranged to provide future Information Technology (IT) professionals an opportunity, to interact, exhibit their talent to evaluate and compete with latest developments in IT. More than 2000 students from 40 universities participated in 16 different competitions/activities. The Director CUI, Wah Campus, Prof. Dr. Sajjad A. Madani, in his opening remarks welcomed the guests and expressed that today’s technological innovations are not possible without IT developments. He exhilarates the moral of participants and encouraged them to further build the habit of actively participating in co-curricular activities. He also appreciated the efforts of the organizers of Visio Spark for holding this mega event since 2003 and inviting national teams to take part for boosting their IT skills. He highlighted that CUI Wah Campus encourages academic challenges like VisioSpark which help students to learn, compete and display their professional skills. He emphasized that the emerging economies in the world are now focusing on entrepreneurship which is key of developments.
The students from all over the Pakistan tested their skills by enthusiastically participated in different competitions i.e Software Project, Quiz, On Spot Programming, Code Debug, Mobile App Development, Web Development, Engineering Projects, Robo Race, Microwiz, Matlab Guru, Speed Wiring, Poster Designing, Logo Designing, E-Gaming, Circuit Troubleshooting, IT Mushaira..
The Head of Computer Science Department/Associate Professor, Dr. Wasif Nisar along with senior faculty welcomed the chief guest Mr. Ahmad Nawaz, CEO, Pakistan Revenue Automation (PVT) Limited. In his talk the chief guest thanked all the participants for their active participation and highlighted the contribution of CUI, Wah Campus in producing world class IT professionals, fully trained to encounter the challenges of current IT trends. In his concluding remarks the HoD Computer Science appreciated the work of students’ intellectual, their preparations and efforts of CUI, Wah Campus in promoting IT industry. At the end, shields, certificates and cash awards were distributed among the winners of different competition and the CUI Wah Campus souvenir was presented to speaker with a vote of thanks.
