15^th Episode of Visio Spark 2017, National Level Mega IT Competition Event, organized by the Department of Computer Science was held at COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT) Wah Campus on November 11, 2017. The objective of the event is to provide an opportunity to future IT professionals to exhibit their skills and get them familiarized with latest trends of the fast-developing IT sector. More than 1000 students from 35 Pakistani Universities showed their expertise/ skills in different competitions including: Software Project Competition, Quiz Competition, On Spot Programming Competition, E-Gaming Competition, Poster Designing Competition, IT Mushaira Competition, Mobile App Development Competition, Web Development Competition, Logo Designing Competition, Code Debug Competition.
Prof. Dr. Tayyeb Akram, Director CIIT Wah Campus in his opening remarks welcomed the participants from various universities. He appreciated the efforts of students and the organizers of Visio Spark for arranging this mega event and providing opportunity to the students to exhibit their IT skills. He emphasized the students to take advantage of such co-curricular activities to enhance their professional skills.
Mr. Barkan Saeed, Chairman, Pakistan Software Houses Association (PASHA) was the Chief Guest for the closing ceremony. Chief Guest appreciated the work of students and contributions of CIIT in promotion of IT. At the end, shields, certificates and cash awards were distributed among the winners of different competition.
In the concluding remarks, Head of Computer Science Department, Dr. Ehsan Ullah Munir expressed that CIIT is producing world class IT professionals fully trained to undertake the challenges of the contemporary era. The detail of winners and runner up is as follow:
