Innovative Vision Research Lab (IVRL)
The Innovative Vision Research Lab (IVRL) is committed to advancing the frontiers of computer vision, machine learning, deep learning, and artificial intelligence through cutting-edge research and innovation. IVRL addresses a broad spectrum of challenges, including affective computing, object detection and tracking, segmentation, and anomaly detection. Our research group continuously explores and implements novel methodologies in computer vision, leveraging advanced machine and deep learning algorithms to tackle both theoretical and practical problems in the field.
Driven by a focus on addressing locally relevant challenges, IVRL aims to design and develop intelligent algorithms that enhance the efficiency and accuracy of computer vision tasks. While our core research areas are listed below, we remain open to a wide range of research topics in computer vision, machine learning, and AI. We actively encourage collaborative efforts on any local research problems that fall within these domains.
- crowd balancing and forecasting,
- the development of intelligent agricultural machinery,
- intelligent writing tutors for children,
- graph databases and analytics,
- industrial fault detection in finished goods,
- gesture-based communication,
- classroom performance monitoring for educators,
- medical imaging analysis
- Voice recognition systems, especially for Holy Quran
