Bachelor of Science in Telecommunication and Networking
Program Overview
Pakistan's telecom industry has seen massive growth in the last few years. The industry
is searching for individuals who have in-depth theoretical knowledge and are skillful
and competent in running the operations. This has opened the doors of various opportunities
for the network and telecommunication professionals. BS-TN focuses on Network and
Telecom operations, their management and security issues. The program meets the
HEC and international standards for a full-length 4-year bachelor's degree. In CIIT’s
BSTN the focus is on applying technology solutions to business problems in the telecom
sector and it requires additional domain knowledge in communication and networks,
along with a strong mathematical background.
It is a four years program consisting of eight semesters. The maximum duration for
completion of this degree is twelve semesters. The degree is awarded on completion
of minimum 133 credit hours, including six credits for the project, with a passing
CGPA of at least 2.0/4.0.

The Bachelor of Science in Telecommunication and Networking is a broad-based course that provides you with the technical expertise and skills required to plan, design, construct and maintain telecommunications networks, equipment and facilities. This course emphasizes an in-depth understanding of the technologies that underpin the Internet, local and global broadband digital networking, and mobile communication systems that are required for tomorrow's broadband-interactive information highways. Telecommunication jobs entail designing, installing, and testing/fixing telecommunications systems and equipment. A career in telecommunication is a promising one, since communication options are constantly changing and growing. In this diverse field career options are available in Computer applications and software, Transmission and switching systems, Performance and Optimization, Telecommunication Policy, Electronic systems, Network Operations, Wireless Systems and Computer Network Engineer.
Eligibility
Students are eligible for admission if they have Intermediate or equivalent (‘A’
Level) with minimum 50% marks from accredited institution and *NTS-NAT
test score with minimum 50% marks.
