A talk on Sustainable Smart Energy Cells and Business Startup Funding was organized on January 17, 2025. The venue for the event was COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), Islamabad Campus.
The session highlighted the groundbreaking Sustainable Smart Energy Cell project, which seeks to reduce the cost of green hydrogen production through scalable and sustainable energy solutions. The project’s applications span diverse industries, including maritime, aerospace, and heavy transportation, making it a key player in driving industrial decarbonization.
Dr. Muhammad Imran Asghar, an Associate Professor at Tampere University and an Academy of Finland Research Fellow, delivered the keynote presentation. A distinguished expert in technology entrepreneurship and startup funding, Dr. Asghar shared his expertise on leveraging advanced technologies, such as Smart Cells, to create sustainable business opportunities while addressing market needs.
A good number of participants from the Departments of Physics, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and Chemistry, as well as from the R&D and Business Incubator Center startups, attended the workshop. The participants acknowledged the usefulness of the information provided at the session.
