Career Opportunities
The graduates of the BS Remote Sensing and GIS program can find employment in both private and state-funded institutions. Our students join CDA, PMD, Armed forces, GSP, WASA, NLC, PCRWR as a GIS specialists and database administrators. Other potential career paths include GIS specialists in real estate sector, resource information management specialists, in natural resource sector, and GIS and RS specialists in research institutes and international research organizations. This degree also opens opportunities for graduates to work in, urban and regional planning, and areas requiring geographic and geologic/topographic mapping and disaster assessment and management in different NGO’s.
Admission Requirements
Intermediate or A-level with Mathematics, from any recognized Board/ University with a minimum of 2nd division (50%) in the Sciences group.
For uniformity in the evaluation system, the minimum CGPA required to pass a semester will be followed as per CUI criteria. Minimum 130+ credits are required to complete BS in Remote Sensing and GIS program and minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) required is 2.0 out of a maximum of 4.0 CGPA.
