Description:

The President’s PhD Scholarships provide students with the opportunity to pursue a research project of their choice under the guidance of a distinguished supervisor, while also engaging in cohort-building activities with fellow President’s PhD Scholars.

Subject(s): Any eligible subject offered by the university.

Level of study: PhD

Grants:

· Full funding for tuition fees.

· A stipend of £26,500 (2026-27 rate) per annum to assist with living costs.

· A consumables fund of £2,000 per annum for the first 3 years of study.

Eligibility Criteria:

· Required Languages: English

· Eligible Countries: All World Countries

· Candidates must be in receipt of, or due to receive, a first-class or equivalent in an undergraduate or integrated master’s degree; or if this has not been achieved

· Candidates must be in receipt of (or where this has yet to be received be able to provide evidence of high performance that will lead to) a distinction in a standalone master’s qualification.

· Candidates with only a single undergraduate degree or integrated Master’s must still be in receipt of, or due to receive, a first-class or equivalent.

· Candidates must have contacted a supervisor in an academic department at Imperial College London who has agreed to supervise their research project.

Deadline:

1. Applicants who apply by 23:59 (UK time) 3 November 2025 and are awarded a scholarship will be notified by 31 January 2026.

2. Applicants who apply by 23:59 (UK time) 12 January 2026 and are awarded a scholarship will be notified by 31 March 2026.

3. Applicants who apply by 23:59 (UK time) 2 March 2026 and are awarded a scholarship will be notified by 31 May 2026
