Hira Nadeem

Ms. Hira graduated with a degree in Fine Arts from BZU in 2008. She earned her first Master's in Visual Arts from Multan College of Arts, BZU in 2010, where she was awarded a Gold Medal. She then pursued a second Master's in Arts, Craft, and Design Education at the University of Roehampton, London, completing it over two years. In 2015, she began her academic career, teaching courses such as Illustration, Drawing studios, History of Arts and Culture, Art Appreciation, Bio mimicry in Design, and major Painting studios. Currently, she is coordinating the BFA Thesis for Spring 2024 and is an Assistant Professor at the COMSATS Institute of Information and Technology, Art and Design Department in Islamabad.

Dr. Shahida Mansoor

Dr. Shahida Mansoor, recipient of Doctor Degree in the field of Woodblock Printmaking from Tokyo National University of Arts (2001) has been exhibiting her works regularly in Japan and Pakistan. During her studies, she was awarded Tawara Award and Machida City Award in Japan, and later during her residence in Austria, she continued her experimentations in the Mokuhanga Technique. Presently she teaches in COMSATS University Islamabad as an Associate Professor and also serves as Dean of Faculty of Architecture and Design. She continues to promote Mokuhanga Art through workshops and seminars often in close collaboration with Japan Embassy Islamabad.

Farrah Mahmood Rana

Farrah Mahmood Rana is a graduate of the National College of Arts, Lahore and specialized in Asian Miniature Painting and Masters (M-Phil) in Art Education from the Beacon House National University. She is a recipient of “Pride of Performance” award by Government of Pakistan in 2023 for her services in the field of Arts and Design. She has over 20 years of experience in art practice and academia and is a miniature artist of international repute. Her works connecting her interests with contemporary experimenting by combining them with traditional miniature painting. She is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Art and Design, COMSATS University (CUI), Islamabad Campus. She also established the COMSATS Art Gallery in 2011, curating numerous exhibitions, and has thus promoted many local, national, and international artists. Besides 3 Solo Shows, Farrah participated in more than 150 National and International Group exhibitions held in U.S.A, Canada, U.K, Austria, France, Hong Kong, China, Azerbaijan, Tehran, Jeddah, India, Bangladesh, U.A.E, Bahrain and Greece.

Afsah Basit

Afsah Basit is a visual artist and a painter. She graduated in 2016 and had her one year Post Graduation Diploma from National College of Arts. Since her professional studies, her contemporary research practice acknowledges the universal habits and desires for social conformity through various mediums. Moreover, her traditional painting practice is about examining the beauty and serenity of given landscapes with her curious translation of those spaces. Along those quests, she pursued her academic career by teaching art through practical and theoretical aspects to middle school, high school and graduation level in various institutions. Currently, she is a supervisor of BFA (digital art) thesis; Spring, 2024 and serving as a lecturer in Department of Art & Design at CUI, Islamabad.

Shanze Zohreh

Shanze Zohreh is a printmaking specialist and visual artist. With more than seven years of teaching experience, she currently serves as a Thesis Advisor in the Printmaking department at COMSATS. Additionally, since 2017, she has been a Teaching Associate at National College of Arts, where she imparts her knowledge in printmaking and drawing to students in the department of Fine Arts, Visual Communication Design, Textile Design, and Architecture. Shanze earned her BFA in Printmaking from the National College of Arts in 2013 and is currently pursuing her Masters (M-Phil) in Art Education from Beaconhouse National University. Her talent has been recognized both nationally and internationally, as she has participated in group exhibitions in countries such as New Zealand, Taiwan, Turkey, and the United States.

Syed Zain-ul-Abideen Kazmi

Syed Zain-ul-abideen Kazmi is Islamabad based artist, during his intermediate studies he joined Rawalpindi Art council, for drawing and painting, followed by a certification of sculpture from Huner Kada Islamabad then he got admission in Beaconhouse National University Lahore and graduated as a visual artist from there in 2011. He has been working as a painter, sculptor and adjunct faculty member at BNUSA for a year and half, besides that he worked with Rafi Peer Theater Workshop (RPTW), Pakistan Children Television (PCTV), as a senior Sculptor for the set design of (Sim Sim Hamara), then joined COMSATS Institute of Information Technology Lahore, as permanent faculty member in the department of Architecture and design. Where he worked as, sculptor, painter, calligrapher, jewelry designer, product designer, and thesis in-charge of design for past 12 years, along these academic and professional responsibilities he ran his own sculpture studio, where he accomplished many commissioned projects as well, and above all he kept on showing his works of visual art in various group exhibitions at established galleries of Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad. He has also exhibited his work abroad in Dubai and Bangladesh. Currently he is teaching as Assistant Professor in COMSATS University Islamabad as coordinator of foundation studies B-Arch, B-Des & B-Visual Arts and thesis supervisor of B-DES and BFA. Moreover, he developed four years curriculum of sculpture for newly launched degree program of BFA at COMSATS Islamabad and is in charge of designated sculpture studio space.
