Syed Zain-ul-Abideen Kazmi

Syed Zain-ul-abideen Kazmi is Islamabad based artist, during his intermediate studies he joined Rawalpindi Art council, for drawing and painting, followed by a certification of sculpture from Huner Kada Islamabad then he got admission in Beaconhouse National University Lahore and graduated as a visual artist from there in 2011. He has been working as a painter, sculptor and adjunct faculty member at BNUSA for a year and half, besides that he worked with Rafi Peer Theater Workshop (RPTW), Pakistan Children Television (PCTV), as a senior Sculptor for the set design of (Sim Sim Hamara), then joined COMSATS Institute of Information Technology Lahore, as permanent faculty member in the department of Architecture and design. Where he worked as, sculptor, painter, calligrapher, jewelry designer, product designer, and thesis in-charge of design for past 12 years, along these academic and professional responsibilities he ran his own sculpture studio, where he accomplished many commissioned projects as well, and above all he kept on showing his works of visual art in various group exhibitions at established galleries of Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad. He has also exhibited his work abroad in Dubai and Bangladesh. Currently he is teaching as Assistant Professor in COMSATS University Islamabad as coordinator of foundation studies B-Arch, B-Des & B-Visual Arts and thesis supervisor of B-DES and BFA. Moreover, he developed four years curriculum of sculpture for newly launched degree program of BFA at COMSATS Islamabad and is in charge of designated sculpture studio space.
