My thesis talks about the state of abandonment and insignificance. The idea of this project came from my personal experiences of moving to a new place, where I had to leave behind many familiar objects that once meant a lot to me. Using Photography as a medium I chose to document a junkyard, capturing images of the discarded objects which were once cherished by people but are now forgotten and dumped. Through this process I found a deep connection between these abandoned objects and those I had left behind. I realized that many items in my home, which were once important to me, had lost their significance over time and were put down to storage. My work not only highlights the impermanent nature of attachment and value but also reflects on the emotional journey of letting go.
