During the British rule in the sub-continent, Britain deprived people of many things. The British Raj in India served only itself, declaring itself superior to the people of color. One of the many things that they left behind is this toxic culture that has been adopted by the elite class of Pakistan who now further humiliates the middle/lower class of Pakistan by expecting them to converse in perfect English and if they are not able to, they are ridiculed publicly which is why not being fluent in English has become an insecurity for a lot of people these days. A board game that has something desi and relatable which resonates with the masses in Pakistan. “Jiski Laathi Uski Bhens” means whoever has the power is the one who controls all. This game is to develop a positive approach towards Urdu as a language for audience of all ages but especially the teenagers who find Urdu difficult a language and run away from it.
