As the name of my project suggests ‘Say My Name’, it is a statement made in the form of self appraisal in this case; girls. People tend to associate toxicity with the words ‘feminism’ and ‘women empowerment’ generally. I want to change that and showcase the true essence of women empowerment which is just women being confident in their own skin and bodies. Not being afraid of standing up for themselves, and most importantly not restricting themselves to the standards that the society has set for them. I found no better means of communicating this message than a music video with lyrics, music and visuals that go hand in hand.
