About VC Forum

COMSATS University Islamabad in collaboration with Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, Islamic World Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), Higher Education Commission of Pakistan and British Council Pakistan successfully convened the 5th Vice chancellors’ Forum on ‘Towards Disruptive Technology in a Globalized World’ on March 19 - 20, 2023 in Islamabad, Pakistan. Numerous sessions were held during the two-days event where in eminencies from different countries had detailed discussions on the following topics:

1. Way forward for Higher Education in the Islamic World;
2. Prospects of Using Innovative Technology to Bridge the Existing Inequalities in Higher Education Sector of the Muslim World;
3. Alternate Source of Funding Higher Education & Philanthropy;
4. Transforming Traditional Faculties – Modernizing Curricula & Revamping Teachers’ Skill Sets;
5. Quality Assurance in Higher Education – Revised Quality Assurance Framework for Pakistan; and
6. New Roles of Higher Education Institutions in Increasing Financial Inclusion: Boosting Economies by Building Bridges Between Angel Investors, Venture Capitalists, Startups & HEIs.

In total, 210 dignitaries participated in 5th Vice Chancellors’ Forum representing the following countries:
