About the Junaid Zaidi Library (JZL)

Junaid Zaidi Library (JZL) is crucial and central organ of COMSATS university Islamabad, Pakistan. It is one of the state-of-the-art and Hi-Tech libraries of the country to support and encourage the education mission of the University. Its objective is to select, organize, maintain and disseminate the print and electronic resources that support the curriculum, information and research needs of its users including students, staff, faculty, and researchers.

Its learning spaces includes Group Study Rooms at various floors, Video Conferencing Room, Conference Room, Khatoon Corner, China Study Center, Research Lab for MS/PhD students and (Library makerspace soon).

The JZL uses the latest techniques, procedures, technical standards and international guidelines while procuring reading materials, organizing and managing these in an easy retrievable way for the faculty, students and researchers. It has a good number of latest printed books along with 50,000 e-books and 23,000 e-journals.

The library provides Wi-Fi services, 24/7 Online Public Access Catalogue, Online book reserving and Membership. The Library App (for Android and iPhone) is another service to facilitate the users in their devices. Provision of special research support services to the MS/PhDs students, faculty and researchers boosts the research culture of COMSATS University Islamabad, Pakistan.
