42nd Academic Council Meeting of COMSATS University Islamabad
Islamabad, June 30, 2025 — The 42nd meeting of the Academic Council of COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) was held today at CUI Islamabad campus.
The meeting was chaired by Rector CUI, Prof. Dr. Sajid Qamar, and attended by Prof. Dr. Sohail Asghar, Incharge Islamabad Campus, along with Deans of Faculties, Directors of Campuses, Chairpersons of Departments, Professors, and statutory office bearers of the university.
As the principal academic forum of CUI, the Academic Council is mandated under the university's Act of 2018 to set academic standards and guide instruction, research, and examination policies.
The meeting deliberated on a wide range of academic matters, with a key focus on enhancing the quality of academic and research programs and boosting the research productivity of the university.
Participants actively contributed to discussions on various agenda items, reaffirming CUI's commitment to academic excellence and continuous improvement in research and educational outcomes.
