The Department of Mathematics organized an International Conference on Topology and its Applications (ICTA 2011) from July 4-10, 2011.

It was the first time in Pakistan that scientists in the field of Topology gathered from all over the world. 23 international and 80 local participants took part in the conference. More than 40 talks were delivered.

The objectives of the conference were: to inoculate a research based culture in the region, to promote networking and collaborations, and to serve as a forum for the participants from around the world. The conference proceedings were published by the Cambridge Scientific Publishers, UK.
