The use of smart technologies in health sector of Pakistan is considerably limited than in the developed countries. To develop Remote Health Monitoring solutions to reduce the mortality rate of women and children, to timely address the maternity related issues in remote areas and to monitor old people, Department of Computer Science - COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), Wah Campus along with four partner universities across the globe has won a project SAFE-RH under “Erasmus + 2020 Program of the EU.” Applying Remote Health Monitoring in rural areas of Pakistan to deliver and assist with the delivery of healthcare services can reduce or minimize challenges and burdens patients' encounter, such as transportation issues related to traveling for specialty care. Remote Health Monitoring can also improve monitoring, timeliness, and communications within the healthcare system.
