Message from Dean RIC

Over the years, countries have moved through many stages including booming economies, increase in trade and strengthening of ties between countries. Nations move toward a more integrated and interconnected approach, thus creating an atmosphere which is viably more cooperative and mutually beneficial for the wellbeing of their economies. Now, the time has come when the scope of research has to be diversified and for the academia to look for ways to benefit the society. Developed Countries have been flourishing only because they have knowledge based economies, which enable them to have a broader insight into the subject matter and the demand-driven market.

Transforming the mission of translating research into tangible and meaningful outputs, COMSATS University Islamabad has established Office of Research Innovation & Commercialization. One of our strengths is that we are one of the best research institutes in Pakistan with dedicated and task oriented team of professionals at ORIC with a mission to integrate research with the economic needs of Pakistan.

I want to extend gratitude to the students, faculty and the administration for actively participating in the activities of ORIC and also anticipate their active participation in all our future endeavors. With our mission, we look forward to enhancing Academia – Industry Linkages and move the economic and technological engine of the country for socio-economic uplift of Pakistan.
