ORIC-Professional Development at COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT) is organizing a two day workshop on "Foresight and Scenario Planning for HR Professionals", on 22-23 November, 2016 at its Islamabad Campus.

The purpose of this futures-thinking capacity building program is to – plan for the future, learn from it and shape it into a preferred vision by analyzing past and future trends to identify new opportunities and anticipate and manage change across their organization. This participatory workshop is expected to lead to discussions of the possibility of adapting the foresight techniques taught to the organization and participants’ respective contexts. It is expected that participants will generate some form of report or output from the sessions. Follow-up projects can be designed and carried out by the participants in consultation with and supervision of the facilitator. The workshops also intend to strengthen the team spirit, the trust and collaboration among the team members and will orient the team on the in-house capacities and potentials.

The workshop will be conducted by Engr. Umar Sheraz, Senior Research Fellow, Centre for Policy Studies, COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT), Islamabad Campus. Mr. Sheraz is a social change researcher, cross-disciplinary collaborator and foresight practitioner, operating at the intersection of academic and commercial practice.
