The Department of Management Sciences arranged an industrial visit to the Gadoon Textile Mill, KPK on December 29, 2022. The aim of the visit was to familiarize the students with the practical implementation of theoretical knowledge which they learned in their course of “Production & Operations Management”. The student’s delegation was accompanied by Assistant Professor, Dr. Muhammad Aamir Saeed was warmly welcomed by the factory officials.

The production manager gave a brief introduction about the company processes. After that students visited different segments of production and learned how the operations like productivity, forecasting of demand, product design, quality control and inventory system as well different projects were being managed.

The visit was a good learning experience; students raised several queries and clarified their theoretical concepts. At the end a short meeting was also held with the Director Technical regarding the future industry academia collaboration.
