Department of Mechanical Engineering arranged it’s second CPD activity duly approved by Pakistan Engineering Council on “Understanding of Drone Technology for Transportation ” on Monday 21st January, 2019 at Campus Auditorium Allama Iqbal Block. Dr. Muhammad Shoaib Naseem Assistant Professor Department of Mechanical Engineering, CUI-Wah Campus was the trainer and lecturer. Overall 73 individuals including engineers from DME, EE and students of DME attended the workshop. Participants learned about drones and drone design and their assembly and their applications. Dr. Shoaib explained selection of motors, power supply, frame, flight controller and other accessories for modified flight as per the design and application needs. This activity showed the future of the drone technology and where it will be in the next few year and their transportation capability in-order to replace automobiles.
