The Department of Mathematics, COMSATS University Islamabad, Sahiwal campus organized a Mathematics Quiz Competition for students of intermediate level. Large number of students from different educational institutions from all over Pakistan participated in the competition. Top three position holders were awarded cash prizes (Rs.10,000/-, Rs.7,000/- and Rs.5,000/- respectively) whereas, all the participants were awarded certificates of participation.
The Campus Director, Prof. Dr. Nazir A. Zafar addressed the participants and awarded the prizes. Director, CUI Sahiwal campus discussed the importance of Mathematics in daily life and encouraged the students to choose BS Mathematics (with specialization in IT) being offered at Department of Mathematics, CUI, S?ahiwal campus.
